Annual Fall Open House Weekend
Saturday and Sunday October 12 and 13.
The Frenchtown Business and Professional
Association announces its’ Annual Fall Open House Weekend is scheduled
for Saturday and Sunday October 12 and 13. Special events scheduled for
the weekend include Horse Drawn Carriage Rides around town, Scarecrow Making
($10 donation) at Schneiderwind Farm just across the Delaware River bridge
and Puppet Shows performed by River Union Stage. Performances are
sponsored by Thistle and Book Garden and will be held at noon, 1:30, 3
and 4:30PM both Saturday and Sunday. Grimm’s Fairytale “The Elves and the
Shoemaker” will be featured.

A Myth and Magic theme will be cast at Alchemy Creative
Clothing. There will be up-close magic performed at the round table and
mythical face painting at the store. Asian Bodywork Therapy will provide
Shiatsu chair massage for $1/minute both Saturday and Sunday from noon
to 5pm in front of the Eddy Building.

On Saturday at Louisa Melrose Gallery, Carol Ross
will be painting on the porch at 1pm and will be followed by a painting
demonstration by Danielle Mick at 2pm. Susannah Thomer will be on the porch
on Sunday between 1 and 4pm and William Michael Yenkevich will be a guest
speaker at 2pm featuring oil paintings, which follow the tradition of the
Dutch masters.

Susan Ekman will be demonstrating the nearly lost
art of rush weaving at Thistle on Saturday from noon to 3pm and will demonstrate
caning on Sunday at similar times.

Renowned Celtic Harpist Carol Thompson will perform
at Natural Instincts on Saturday from 1 to 3pm. Jayvo Designs, importers
of hand crafted Baltic Amber will be at Natural Instincts both days from
11 am to 5pm featuring an Amber display and Jewelry sale.

Several Business Association members will be sponsoring
give-a-ways, raffles and sales. They include Alchemy Creative Clothing,
Natural Instincts, Tante Cringle Christmas Cottage, Treasures and Pleasures,
